American Philatelic Society

With nearly 28,000 members in more than 110 countries, the APS is the largest, non-profit organization for stamp collectors in the world. Founded in 1886, the APS serves collectors, educators, postal historians, and the general public by providing a wide variety of programs and services.

With over 75,000 files, Stamp Smarter is one the largest online resources and tools available to collectors and postal historians. In addition to a large download Library, it also contains a number of philatelic community databases and other philatelic resources.

Smithsonian National Postal Museum

The National Postal Museum opened on July 30, 1993. It was created on November 6, 1990 in a joint agreement between the Smithsonian Institution and the United States Postal Service. The website's mission is to make Smithsonian collections and resources more accessible to the public.
